Red, White and Zoo! Happy Fourth!
SwitchZoo.com
Another digital gem to turn the summer spike in screen time into learning adventures!
This free interactive website plays on kids’ love for animals. Our favorite feature is the game “Where Do I Live?” where kids drag and drop animals into their correct habitats on a globe. It’s simple and might only hold their attention for a few minutes, but those who stick with it will learn about animals and countries even you haven’t heard of. Kiddos can check out other games too like “Build a Biome” and “Make New Animals”.
This game is best for second graders and up since kids have to read the correct answers and be able to avoid ads for paid learning apps at the top of the page.
Not as great as a trip to the zoo but better than a mindless game, this is a fantastic way to keep kids learning over the summer. Add this to their Aneta homerooms and feel like a genius – because you’ve done something good. It’s screen time you can truly feel great about.
